STIRLING ENGINE FRESNEL Lens on a Steek Solar powered Stirling Engine

This is the same engine with a strong Fresnel Lens. The steel wool adds power to the displacer piston as the light has a good focal target INSIDE the glass chamber Dramatically increasing efficiency. This is very important as most Stirling Engine lose 50% of their heat into the surrounding air. A vacuum would be even better. Also, because the glass chamber easily removes with a rubber O ring fitting, air can be replaces with a custom heat exchange gas.

    once again, what is the usefulness of this device?
    what power does it achieve? power a drill? power your lights in your home? what? i just don’t get it. maybe it recharges a few niCad batteries…so what. what does this really prove in the real world??

    in the lighty it has gears . when I crank it at 60 rpm’s the gen. is turning 600 rpm’s . so this so this engine has more than enough power to crank it without the gears.the flash light it self is assisted with batteries. so with extra batteries hooked up in parallel to take the extra charge while the sun is up and and discharge while the sun is down( to the LED’s) perpetual lights .I know they allready have em in solar cells, but this could be the first one with a sterling engine

    It’s about the possibilities… That it can be done. In a larger scale this is one of the best “free” source of electricity.. :P (Need’s to be sunny.. )

    Here in sweden, it get’s realy cold at winter. The cold outside can be used to cool the “cooling” part of the engine, and the other end can be heated by a small fire on the inside. You get both warmth and electricity, from such an engine. Thinking of doing something like that this winter. It will work without the fireon the inside, but would cool down my house to much. :) Dragging the cold in by the engine…

    i belive this is more to give sparks in the minds of people.encouraging new thoughts and ideas
    not the 100% final solution.

    we live in a world filled with energy. now thats a documented fact.
    its just to find out where and how to plug in
