This 100 watt + Stirling Engine is the only Stirling I have ever tested that would take a finger off without a thought. IT IS NOT A TOY! This engine sounds like a gas weed eater. It destroys the false myth that STIRLING ENGINES have very little torque. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL engine.

The Stirling design and this build was done people that believed in keeping things simple - totally awesome.
So where does one find a engine like that?
Surlely it still does not have much torque just high revs and a flywheel?
Very nice sterling Dan. But keep in mind that 60 watts of almost maintenance free, silent solar power is less than $300 at amazon. However, I think solar concentrated Sterling engine power is the future and likely could be produced in a cost effective way to reach the masses. Great work Dan.
Are you going to be selling or giving out plans for this engine? Seems quite powerful and potentially quite helpful.
I wonder if, by use of another fresnel lens and a mirror, if you could focus another beam on the back side and double the output power.
